Today was a cool day.

First off, Aja and I managed to find the ONE place in this damn city where they sell gummy colas, which taste GREAT after you leave them in the freezer.

Secondly, Aja and I were able to use those darn Spider Man scratch off tickets and a free WHOPPAH coupon to score loads of free food at Burger King. Hellz Yeah!

Thirdly, there were good deals on meat at the store today, and thus Aja and I were able to buy a weeks worth (if not more) of food with just $20.

Fourthly, Aja and I ran all over the place trying to save an injured lunar moth. The fucker was HUGE, with a wingspan about as wide as my hand (and Burt ha big hands). It was struggling to get off of the burning concrete in the store parking lot, so Aja and I snagged it, brought it into the car... stumbled all over the damn car as it fluttered around to escape our grasp (luckily we were not driving at the time), and drove it back to the park beside our house. Hopefully the little guy is okay...

And FINALLY, I was able to score that damn WISH BEAR sticker out of that Care Bear machine! I got Grumpy Bear last week, and I was hoping so bad that nobody would get the Wish Bear. They now reside on each side of my Wii... which makes my Wii pretty fruity... uh... ANYWAY

If anyone still has friend codes, lemme know. I would like to get Mii's of all my friends, if possible. I love them so...

Holy shit.

Aja and Mav bought me a Wii as a surprise gift the day after my birthday.

It rocks!

In fact, this journal entry was posted using the Wii browser.

Yeah, Aja and Mav rock... and they have indeed spoiled me.

In other news, Aja and I now have two more hermit crabs! The first one (Mav's birthday gift to Aja) we named Ashley. The two new ones are “Grumpy" and “Emperor Francisco de Cogliostro III"
They're all so very cute X3 though... it seems Ash is a bit sourvto have to share his room with these guys XD

Originally I had wanted to get two more' but wasn't sure 'cuz I wanted to use the money for somethin else. But when I heard they were the last two left, I couldn't bare to leave one of them alone ;0;

So yeah... hermit crabbies rock... and so do girlfriends and roommates...

How Matt Burt Spent His BIRTHDAY

OK, so I turned 27 last Friday (June 2nd).

This is how I spent it (WARNING: mild gory detail... not the kind you think...don't say I didn't warn you)

So while I was in Madison, I noticed I had some kind of pimple in an area I would... rather not divulge... I popped it, and just to be sure it didn't get infected, I put neosporin on it. A week or so went by, and it would not go away.

I took my bus ride home (HOLY CRAP there were a lot of amish people!!) and pretty much had to sit up on it all 17 hours of the trip. Not too comfy.

The day after I got home, I woke up, and the pimple was oozing waaaay too much blood. I called my parents (both who have been in the medical field) and had them look up a doctor in the area.

I woke up on my birthday, and left my house around 1:00 PM to go see the doc. The swelling and pain had gone down, but I still wanted to make SURE it was not infected (If you had something that close to YOUR boys, you would do the same!).

The Doc entered, and I could tell this wasn't something he was looking forward to, and well... *I* wasn't too happy about it either. At first he seemed to be acting as if I was wasting his time, but after he squeezed the thing, and saw puss, he changed his mind.

Then came the words I did not want to hear...

Doc: "I'm gonna go ahead and do a rectal exam, just to make sure the infection hasn't spread there." *Pulls on glove, spreads lube on it*

Me: "......recta-whuh? HELLO!!"

Doc: "Do you feel any discomfort-- well... other than something in there... do you feel any pain?"

I just threw my hands up in the air, shook my head and said, "Happy birthday to ME!"

It didn't end there. The doc left the room and came back with surgical stuff. He then injected stuff to numb me up, then cut away at the infected spot. After that, he stuffed gause all up in it.

After all was said and done, I got to hobble downtown in the pouring rain, then ride a nice and bumpy bus back up the mountain to my house.

The last couple days I've been pretty much cooped up in my house treating the damn thing, hoping and praying it will not get infected again.

I just watched a whole bunch of videos for the Nintendo "Wii" system.

Y'all can say whatever you want about the name, and how stupid it is, but I no longer care. They could call it the "Pinky Pooty-toot Pony Fairy Penis"for all I care, and I would still play it. If they could keep it at $250 or below, I'm there.

There's this game called Red Steel, and it looks very nice. Also, loved the Zelda: Twilight Princess stuff they showed. Heck, I loved most of it.

And man.... $600 for the PS3 (forget the $500, cuz that one is a rip)? I wanna play Metal Gear 4... but not THAT badly...

TWENTY-SEVEN games will be released with the system. One of them may be the new Smash Bros. And if it is... IT BETTER HAVE WARIO THIS TIME!!!

Silent Hill

I saw Silent Hill.

Gross.

It shold have been "Cruelty Towards Women, the Movie" That shit was nasty.

GOOD POINTS:

1.) Pyramid Head rocked
2.) They definitely got the feel of the game down
3.) It was very creepy
4.) They used music from the games
5.) You walk away, happy that you live in the world you're in, and not Silent Hill

BAD POINTS

1.) Not enough Pyramid Head
2.) Cunfusing as hell if you never played the games
3.) Plotholes
4.) They used TOO MUCH music from the games
5.) It almost seemed like they were trying to 1-up other horror movies with beyond-Hellraiser-ish gore.

Right after we saw the film, one of the factories' sirens (sounded JUST like the film) went off. It was SO poetic!

All-in-all, I enjoyed it, but there were parts where I was rolling my eyes. I pretty much OWN the soundtrach already, because most of it was the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack. They didn't even re-compose it, they just took it straight off the CD.

Also, like I said, there's a lot of cruelty towards women. I almost wonder if the writer or director needs to see a shrink, cuz I did NOT need to see such detailed deaths of women.

I wonder if there will be an SH2... Hmmm...
